Plain-language terms.

1. What you're buying
Kits from From the COO Seat are informational toolkits: checklists, templates, worksheets, prompts, and guidance. They are educational material about how we'd approach a problem — they are not software, not a service, and not a consulting engagement.
2. Products change — fast
Our kits frequently cover tools, platforms, and pricing in their first releases. Features, prices, policies, and availability change without notice — often between when we write and when you read. We work hard to give you everything current at publication, but we can't promise a kit still matches a vendor's product by the time you open it. Verify anything time-sensitive with the provider before you rely on it.
3. Not professional advice
Nothing in any kit is legal, tax, accounting, financial, or other professional advice, and it isn't tailored to your situation. If a decision matters, run it past your own advisor before you act on it.
4. As-is, no warranties
Every kit and vault item is provided "as-is." We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or that a kit will achieve any particular result. You're responsible for how you implement what you read, and for the outcomes.
5. Third-party tools, marks, and support
Kits reference third-party products and services. Those belong to their owners — we're not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them, and mentioning one isn't an endorsement. Support for a third-party product comes from that provider through their official channels; where a kit points you to support, it links to the provider's own pages. We don't provide product support for tools we don't make.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, From the COO Seat's total liability for any claim arising from a kit is limited to the amount you paid for it — $19. For free vault items, that amount is $0.00. We're glad to refund a kit that genuinely didn't deliver what its page promised; that refund is the extent of the remedy. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages.
7. Refunds
If a kit isn't what its page said it was, tell us within 14 days and we'll refund it. That's the deal, and it's also the ceiling (see section 6).
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the store evolves. The version in force is the one you agreed to at checkout. Material changes get a new date at the top of this page.
